Night of blues music to be held Sept. 8

Hungarian bluesman Little G Weevil gets ready to take the stage at the Shelby County Arts Council on Sept. 8.

As an esteemed member of the blues community worldwide and a winner of the 2013 International Blues Challenge, Little G has released five studio albums over his successful career and been nominated for multiple blues awards.

His music has been described to have elements of funk, rock and roll, hip-hop and soul all mixed together to create his unique blues sound.

Come to the Black Box Theater on Sept. 8 for this special Little G Weevil performance also featuring Rachel Bernice Edwards, Carla Don, Maurice Nazzaro and special guests 2Blu.

Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show starts at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are $20 and include a complimentary pre-show beverage reception.
