ALABASTER – Believe it or not, the Christmas season is just around the corner, and the Alabaster Beautification Board is now accepting entries to be included on the city’s Tour of Lights once December arrives.

The Beautification Board recently opened the entry period for inclusion on the Tour of Lights, and the entry deadline is Friday, Nov. 9.

Once all entries are received, the Beautification Board will choose between 15 and 25 homes to be featured on the Tour of Lights. A map of the homes on the tour will be listed by address only in the Alabaster Reporter, Alabaster Connection and the Original Alabaster Newsletter after the list is finalized in December.

This year’s Tour of Lights will have the theme “A storybook Christmas,” and decorations at the homes chosen for the tour will be up no later than Dec. 1.

To be considered for inclusion on the tour, send an email to beauty@cityofalabaster.com with the subject line “Tour of Lights,” and include your name, address, phone number and brief description of your light display or decorations.

“Any information such as display type, number of lights, etc., would be helpful,” according to the Beautification Board.
