James Dale Layton, Sr., age 76, of Birmingham, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 30.

The memorial service will be Monday, Nov. 19 at 6:30 p.m. at the Church at Brook Hills with Rev. Jimmy Aycock officiating. The burial was previously held at Union Cemetery. Bolton Funeral Home is directing.
