PELHAM – The Pelham High School Marching Band is hosting its Sounds of the Season fundraiser at the Pelham Civic Complex on Sunday, Dec. 9, from 3-5 p.m.

This holiday-themed fundraiser costs $15 to attend, said band director Justin Ward. Guests will enjoy dinner catered by Full Moon BBQ, a silent auction and live entertainment. Ward said more than 20 different music selections will be played by the PHS jazz ensemble, percussion ensemble, wind ensemble and more.

All of the proceeds from the event will go to the PHS band. Ward said the money will go toward the operation of the band program and will help buy new uniforms.

In past years, Ward said a holiday concert was held to help raise money for the band, but this year they wanted to do something different.

“Instead of a traditional concert, we wanted to do something that allowed for more socializing and community interaction,” Ward said. “This is an opportunity to enjoy the holidays and what better way to do it than music performed by students from our school.”
