The Shelby County Arts Council in Columbiana will usher in the holiday shopping season Dec. 1 with its annual Holiday Artist Market.

Each year, artists gather to sell one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted artwork in the market, allowing residents to buy gifts for family and friends, while also supporting local artists.

Featured artwork includes: Pottery, fabric art, woodwork, block prints, jewelry, gourd art, mixed media work, and much more.

Attendees can purchase work from local artists such as Amanda Morgan, Dave Livesay, DeAnne Thorn, Deborah Ballog, Heather Bailey, Judy Swaney, Melissa Martin, Sarah Dudley, Lindsay Dyess, Brian Bohanan, Tim Tingle and Carrington Wilson.

The market will be on Saturday, Dec. 1, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., following a special preview party on Friday, Nov. 30, from 6-8 p.m., that will give people a chance to shop the market while enjoying refreshments and live music.

The market is free to attend, and everyone is welcome. For more information, visit Shelbycountyartscouncil.com.
