THS earns awards at state theatre festival

TROY – Students in Thompson High School’s Theatre Department earned a slew of superior ratings at the 2018 Walter Trumbauer Theatre State Festival the weekend of Nov. 29-Dec 2.

The following students earned accolades during the competition, which was held on the campus of Troy University:

Along with Superior rankings, students placed top three in the state of Alabama in their categories:

Thompson Theatre’s production of Meteor Boy will receive scores soon, according to the school. Meteor Boy cast members Caroline Simmons (Karen Shaw) and Rand Willis (Fred Shaw) were placed on the All Star-Cast for the state of Alabama.
