Several Shelby County schools will be starting their day later than usual on Tuesday, Dec. 11, thanks to icy travel conditions due to temperatures falling into the upper 20s after last night’s rain.

It started with both Alabaster and Shelby County Schools, and now Pelham City Schools is the latest to join those two school systems on a two-hour delay.

All three school systems will also have their buses running on a delayed schedule and breakfast will not be served.
