HELENA – We’re two days into the new year and a new business is already up and running in the city of Helena.

Those needing specific vehicle parts, customer service, vehicle maintenance items and more will have the option to shop at the new O’Reilly Auto Parts store now located at 4949 Shelby County 17.

On Wednesday, Jan. 2, the business opened its doors to customers as a staff of nine team members, including store manager Jack Dickey, are ready to serve the community.

“We may be a large auto parts chain but we want to have that community feel here,” Dickey said. “We currently have nine people on staff including myself where we tried to pull people from the Helena, Pelham and the Alabaster communities. Our goal is treat everyone with kindness and treat everyone like family. There’s usually very little we can’t get as far as parts go.”

O’Reilly Auto Parts was founded in 1957 as a single store in Missouri and has now grown to more than 5,190 stores across 47 states consisting of 80,000 team members.

In addition to thousands of parts in stock, the store also offers things such as used oil and battery recycling, battery testing, wiper blade installation, drum and rotor resurfacing, a loaner tool program, check engine light testing, free in-store pick up for online orders, a rewards program and more.

The hours of operation for the O’Reilly Auto Parts in Helena is Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sundays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
