A trio of local authors will be greeting readers and signing copies of their books during three upcoming book signing events coming up over the next few weeks.

The first event will be held from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Jan. 12 at the Pelham Public Library, and will feature the book “The Verticon File” by local author Brian Weimer.

Google Books provides the following description of the book: “Rick Donovan, a reporter for the Washington Post, receives an anonymous message predicting chilling future events. When these events come to pass, Rick is drawn into a world of shadowy intrigue and conspiracy theories. Struggling to determine which are fiction and which are fact, he embarks on a world-spanning adventure to uncover the truth. Pursued by mysterious forces that will stop at nothing to keep him from revealing the truth, Rick must follow in the footsteps of previous seekers and finds himself in a fight for his life in his quest to expose potentially the greatest cover-up in human history.”

During the event, Weimer will meet readers and sign his book while light refreshments are served.

The second event will take place at 5 p.m. on Jan. 19 at Alabaster’s Siluria Brewing Company, and will feature “Anna A PARADOX Story” by E.G. Rowley.

Goodreads.com provides the following description of the book: “When the nightmares become too much for Anna Messer to bear, she asks the wrong questions in her search for the truth. What she finds transforms her entire existence and understanding of the universe itself. Lost in time and space, Anna must follow a trail laid down by her father decades earlier. With the help of a mysterious scientist and his amazing inventions, she embarks on a universe-spanning mission, but does she have the strength to unleash the universe’s most devastating weapon? If not, it could spell disaster for existence itself. How far will she go to save her father, her family and the universe? Find out in this action-packed, continuation of PARADOX.”

During the Jan. 19 event, Rowley will meet readers and sign copies of the book while attendees enjoy craft beer, light refreshments and the food truck “Anatomy of Pi.”

The third book signing will take place from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Trussville Public Library, and will feature the book “The Tri-System Authority: Book Two – Reign of Terra” by R. Kyle Hannah.

Jumpmaster Press provides the following description of the book: “Senator Dari Terra knows how to play the political game; lessons learned from her recently deceased husband. Surrounding herself with sycophants and loyalists, and destroying those in her way, she lays out a plan to consolidate her power. Lieutenant Mark Dawson, after his heroic actions at the Parliament, is assigned to Ritmar, the Special Operations Training Regiment. The training is intense, brutal, but necessary if he is to save all that he holds dear. Commander Dagon Aoffa vows revenge on the man he blames for a crap assignment on an asteroid in the middle of nowhere. Using the vast network at his fingertips to gather information, he discovers a plot that could tear the fabric of the TSA apart. Political intrigue spirals out of the control. War threatens the TSA. Vengeance rules the day.”

Hannah will greet readers during the event while light refreshments are served.
