HELENA – With the holidays behind us, families will soon be making their way to the ballpark and soccer field as the arrival of spring sports is just a few short weeks ago.

Registration is now open to youth boys and girls in the Helena community wishing to participate in spring sports including baseball, softball and soccer.

Registration is taking place between now and Jan. 27 for the upcoming spring sports.

Parents of youth players interested in playing can register online at Helenaparkandrec.org or can register in person.

In-person registration will be Jan. 14-25 on weekdays only from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Helena Community Center. Another date for in-person registration is Jan. 27 between 1-3 p.m.

The spring sports include the Dizzy Dean baseball league, the USSSA softball league and the CASL soccer league. The cost associated with each sport is $170 per player except for tee-ball which costs $100 per player.

The baseball league is available for players between the ages of 3 and 14 years old and the soccer and softball leagues are open to boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 12.

The Helena Parks and Recreation department is currently looking for volunteer coaches in each league and anyone interested in volunteering should contact the department.

To volunteer as a coach or for any other questions, call the Helena Parks and Recreation office at 620-2877 or email bmiller@cityofhelena.org.

The Helena Community Center is located at 110 Sports Complex Drive.
