HOOVER – The Hoover Police Department is seeking information about two cases of unlawful breaking and entering a vehicle and fraudulent use of a credit card.

The first vehicle break-in occurred on Jan. 4 on Country Club Drive, where the victim’s purse was taken.

A short time later, the victim’s credit card was fraudulently used at Walmart stores in Homewood, Vestavia Hills and Hoover.

The suspect’s vehicle appears to be a red Ford (unknown tag information).

The second break-in occurred in the area of Jaguar Drive and Valleydale Road, where another purse was taken.

A short time later, the victim’s credit card was fraudulently used to make purchases at Walmart Neighborhood Market off Valleydale Road, Advanced Auto Parts off Valleydale Road, a gas station near Princeton Hospital in Birmingham and CVS, also near Princeton Hospital.

Both unlawful breaking and entering a vehicle and fraudulent use of a credit card are felony offenses.
