Cool nights, mild days on tap in this week’s weather

After some potentially severe weather in Shelby County on Monday, March 25, the area will see a slight dip in temperatures and near-perfect springtime weather during the days, according to the most recent forecast from the National Weather Service’s Birmingham office at the Shelby County Airport.

The only chance of rain for the work week will come on Monday, with an about 70-percent of rain and thunderstorms, particularly after 1 p.m. The day will see a high of about 71 degrees, and the the night will see a low of about 49 degrees and a 60-percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7 p.m.

The rain will clear up on Tuesday, with a partly sunny day and a high of about 62 degrees and a nighttime low of about 43 degrees.

Wednesday will be mostly sunny with a high of about 67 degrees and a nighttime low of about 42 degrees.

On Thursday, the daytime high will be about 71 degrees during a mostly sunny day, and a nighttime low of about 46 degrees.

Friday will see a daytime high of about 74 degrees, and a nighttime low of about 53 degrees.

Rain will enter the forecast again on Saturday, with a 20-percent chance of showers and a high near 75. Saturday night will see a 50-percent chance of showers and a low of about 52 degrees.

On Sunday, Shelby County will see a 20-percent chance of showers and a high of about 66 degrees.
