NORTH SHELBY – A portion of Dunnavant Valley Road was closed on Monday, Aug. 26, because of a low-hanging power line, according to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.

The power line caused the portion of the road near Circle Creek Drive to be unsafe for vehicles to pass underneath, according to the SCSO.

The SCSO notified motorists of the closure at about 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 26 and said they should expect the road to be closed “for an extended period of time.”
