Suffragan Bishop P.J. Thomas Sr. celebrated his 80th birthday on Saturday, Sept. 21, at the Helena Sports Complex with family and friends.
The theme was “Red Carpet.”
Thomas is one of the founders of Manna Ministries, a food program open every Saturday from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. at 809 Independence Drive in Alabaster.
The ministry was once featured in Ebony magazine and received the community service award.
Thomas said he enjoys studying the Word of God and spending quality time with family, including his great-grandchildren, Blair, Matt and Blake.
His children are P.J. Jr., Antoinette, Danny, Carla, Lucinda and Anthony.
