COLUMBIANA – Children’s boutique owner Keela Lowery wants to help ensure local families who are struggling financially are able to provide clothes and gifts for their children during the holidays.
Lowery, who owns Shabby Lane Kidz Boutique in the Shops of Columbiana on Main Street, is organizing a children’s fashion show in November to generate funds for the cause.
“If I can help one mom, one dad, one child, then everything I’ve been through in my life is worth it,” Lowery said.
Girl and boy models are needed for the fashion show.
Lowery said she still needs models for the newborn girl and toddler boy age groups.
Donors and anyone whose children participate in the fashion show will receive 30 percent off their entire store purchase, and their names will be entered into a drawing for a $100 gift card.
The deadline to sign up for the fashion show is Thursday, Oct. 31. Contact Lowery at (205) 482-2882 or keela_lowery@yahoo.com to sign up.
Lowery is planning to hold another fundraiser, a children’s pageant, the first week of December.
Shabby Kidz Lane Boutique opened in early September and offers children’s clothes, shoes and accessories.
“Having a clothes store has always been a dream of mine,” Lowery said. “I know without God I wouldn’t have any of this.”
