HELENA – The holiday season is in full swing and the Jane B. Holmes Public Library in Helena will offer several free events this December for children and families alike.

The month will kickoff with a Holiday Craft Night on Thursday, Dec. 12, where those in attendance will have the option to either create a Christmas tree from a repurposed magazine or a foam snowman in a stocking for Christmas. The craft night will be from 5:45-6:45 p.m. and there will also be holiday coloring available for those of all ages.

The next big holiday event at the library will be a Visit from Santa on Monday, Dec. 16, as Santa Claus will pay a visit to all the good boys and girls from 6-6:45 p.m. Parents are encouraged to bring their own camera to capture the special moment with Santa.

Other December events happening at the library include story time each Tuesday and Thursday from 11-11:30 a.m., a checkout event on Wednesday, Dec. 18, where each person who checks out 10 books from the library will receive a prize, and Lego fun on Friday, Dec. 27 from 2:30-3:30 p.m.

The Jane B. Holmes Public Library is located at 230 Tucker Road in Helena. The telephone number is 205-664-8308.
