Frances Regina Kuzmicki Lokey, age 98, of Wilsonville, passed on to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, May 1.

She was born Oct. 20, 1921 in Wylam, to Polish immigrants, Felycia Amy Tomach and Wilchelm Kuzmicki. Frances graduated from Ensley High School and later from Auburn University in 1950. She received her Masters in Education from the University of Montevallo.

She taught school at Vincent High School, Wilsonville Junior High, and Chelsea Grammar School. She was an active member of the Wilsonville Baptist Church working with the various committees, the Girls Auxiliary and teaching her Sunday School class.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her six brothers, and one sister and the love of her life, husband, Albert Montgomery Lokey Sr. She will be dearly missed by her daughter, Frances Elayne Gibson (Charles) of Columbiana; son, Albert Montgomery Lokey Jr. (Mary Ellen) of Knoxville; grandson, Phillip Gibson; granddaughters, Carla Gibson, Michelle Lokey, Anissa Vega, Victoria Jordon, and Mary McCracken and seven grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be held by the family. Interment is by Bolton Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Presbyterian Home for Children in Talladega, (https//secure.acceptiva.com/?cst=217257) or Alabama Baptist Children’s Home.

The family gives a special thanks to the Columbiana Health and Rehabilitation staff who gave loving care in the last years of her life and the doctors and nurses of the Shelby Baptist Medical Center Covid unit, and Southern Care New Beacon Hospice.
