Margaret Roy Lovelady DiMaggio, age 88, passed away Monday, May 4.

She was predeceased by her parents, Floyd R. Roy and Ophelia Kirkpatrick Roy; husbands, Lester “Lefty” Emory Lovelady of Helena, and Paul DiMaggio of Alabaster; and granddaughter, Brooke Owens.

Margaret is survived by her daughters, Kayren L. Owens of Montevallo and JoEllen Ramsey (Chris) of Helena; sons, James K. “Kim” Lovelady (Debra) of Montevallo and John T. “Tim” Lovelady (Donna) of Columbiana; grandsons, Brandon Owens of Montevallo, Chase Woods (Tamara) of Bloomington, Illinois, Chip Lovelady (Jacren) of Calera, and Jarrod Woods (Blakelee) of Maylene; granddaughters, Suzanne Henderson of Columbiana, Lesley Fondren of Montevallo, Annalee Woods (Mike Brett) of Irondale, and MerryMichael Kennington (Griffin) of Flowood, Mississippi; and seven great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 6 in the chapel of Charter Funeral Home from 6–7 p.m., abiding by the social distancing and COVID19 guidelines. A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 7 at 2 p.m. in the Helena City Cemetery, again, abiding by the social distancing and COVID19 guidelines.
