HELENA – Helena Hollow will be holding a special summer festival event on Saturday, June 20, which they are calling the “Watemelon Crawl.”

The event will be a one-day celebration allowing guests to experience their favorite parts of the park with the added fun of Watermelon themed contests for everyone in attendance to enjoy.

“We decided to move forward with opening for the Watermelon Crawl because after missing our spring public event and multiple private events throughout quarantine,” Amy Griffin said. “We feel comfortable in the space we can provide for the crowd we expect to see. Watermelon Crawl will take place on 10-plus acres of land and there is plenty of space for social distancing yet also enjoying yourself.”

More details will be announced soon, however the event will feature watermelon themed games like a watermelon toss and watermelon eating contest. According, to Griffin they hope is to add more watermelon-fun events.

Guests will be able to enjoy most of the typical Helena Hollow attractions safely, as the park has put in place several safety guidelines. These include employees wearing face coverings, hand washing stations and sanitization of the equipment.

According to Griffin guests will have access to the 100-foot, 60-foot and two 30 foot slides, zip swing, patch dash obstacle course, papa’s playground ropes and tire swings, tire mountain, side climber climbing wall, petting zoo and more.

Food trucks will also be on the property. Currently the park has booked Dixieland Funnel Cakes, which will have a special watermelon lemonade, Kona Ice, with a special watermelon flavor, and Pazzo Big Slice Pizza.

This will be an all-day event, lasting from 10 a.m. until 7p.m. Tickets are $10 per person with children under the age of 2 having free admission.
