PELHAM – Families looking for activities that allow for social distancing can find several options at Oak Mountain State Park this weekend.

On Saturday, June 20, OMSP Naturalist Lauren Muncher will lead Scales & Tails, an educational experience about different kinds of animals.

Scales & Tails will be held outdoors at the Discover Shelby Pavilion and field area at 6 p.m.

Attendees may come by and set up their spots early.

On Saturday, June 20 and Sunday, June 21, families may participate in Chalk Your Walk by leaving an inspirational message, a pretty picture or a nice note at the Main Park Office Flagpole Circle.

Chalk will be provided and disinfected.
