ALABASTER – Alabaster Parks and Recreation has opened registration for fall sports including baseball, soccer and softball.

Due to concerns relating to COVID-19, the season for each sport does not have an official start or end date, however parents can register their children online or at Parks and Recreation for the sports until July 25.

Softball is open to ages 5-12 as of Jan 1, 2021 and baseball is open to boys ages 4-12 as of April 30, 2021. Soccer is open to boys and girls born between 2007 and 2015, and has a variety of different age groups.

Alabaster Parks and Recreation is not asking for registration fees until they are certain they can proceed with the season. However, the fee for baseball and softball will be $85, and the fee for soccer is $90 for U6 and U8, and $110 for U9 and up.

There is an additional 10 percent charge for each sport for nonresidents. There are some discounts available for the sports.

Parents can register their children online at Cityofalabaster.com/165/Parks-Recreation, or in person at the department’s new location at 200 Depot Street. For more information, contact the department at 664-6840.
