PELHAM – The Pelham Panthers are now winners of back-to-back home games as they defeated the Calera Eagles 81-19 on Tuesday, Nov. 29 just a day after beating Marbury at Pelham High School.

Pelham dominated the opening stretch and set the tone for a big win over its county foe.

The Panthers held the Eagles to just one made shot from the field in the second. Tiauna King made three shots to get to 10 points before halftime, and Ingram added another five points as Pelham led 46-10 going into the locker room.

After halftime, the Panthers kept hitting shots to extend their lead. They hit seven free throws as a team during the third quarter, and Ally Barfield had seven points during those eight minutes to give Pelham a 64-14 lead heading into the fourth.

A trio of three-pointers in the fourth helped Pelham cross the 80-point mark, and the Panthers rode another strong quarter on both sides of the ball to the commanding victory.

King led the Panthers with 21 points, five rebounds and four steals, Barfield had 15 points, with 13 coming in the second half, and Wynn had a great stat-line with 14 points, seven rebounds and four steals.
