ALABASTER – A new Big Whiskey’s American Restaurant & Bar is set to come to the city of Alabaster in the coming months.

The city of Alabaster announced on Tuesday, Jan. 2 that a Big Whiskey’s American Restaurant & Bar will coming to the city in 2024.

“We’re so excited to learn a new location of Big Whiskey’s will be coming to the former O’Charley’s building in the south promenade this summer after the building undergoes renovations over the next few months,” Alabaster Public Relations Manager Neal Wagner said. “That’s a great location, and we’re happy to see another great restaurant opening its doors in Alabaster.”

The building will undergo extensive renovations over the next few months, including the addition of an outdoor patio area with an opening date for the restaurant currently set for sometime in July.

The new Alabaster location of Big Whiskey’s American Restaurant & Bar marks the second to come to the county recently after a second Hoover location was announced in March 2023 for Tattersall Park near Publix. The first Hoover location opened its doors in 2020 and can be found at Stadium Trace.

Big Whiskey’s American Restaurant & Bar offers lunch and dinner as well as weekend brunch with a menu that features an array of options.

Appetizer highlights include chicken bacon ranch fries, boom boom shrimp, buffalo chicken dip and wantons, southwest egg rolls, nachos and more.

The business also offers different types of wings with several flavors and multiple salads and soups to choose from. The main menu is highlighted by seafood, steaks, ribs, pork chops, burgers, chicken, sandwiches, wraps, pastas and tacos.

The restaurant also offers a full bar with an array of different drinks, including margaritas, cocktails, fishbowls, beer, wine and whiskey.
