PELHAM – The Shelby County Chamber is set to host its ninth annual Shelby County Business Outlook Conference on Wednesday, Jan. 31.

The chamber will host the conference on Wednesday, Jan. 31 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Pelham Civic Center which can be found at 500 Amphitheater Road in Pelham.

The outlook program, held in collaboration with the Shelby County Chamber 43rd Annual Meeting Luncheon, is sponsored by the University of Montevallo’s Stephens College of Business.

Registration for the Conference begins at 8:30 a.m. and then begins with a panel presentation featuring six business leaders at 8:45 a.m.

The panel will feature business leaders—representing banking, commercial real estate, healthcare, manufacturing/distribution, small business and technology— who will share their outlook on what 2024 will look like in their respective sectors.

The panel presentation will be moderated by Dr. Amiee Mellon, dean and associate professor of business with the University of Montevallo’s Michael E. Stephens College of Business.

Following the panel presentation, Mellon will provide an overview and share the cumulative results of the 2024 Shelby County Business Outlook Survey which is currently being conducted.

The survey will feature feedback from business owners and top managers on what they think Shelby County’s economy will look like in 2024.

The investment for the full program—featuring the Shelby County Business Outlook Panel Presentations, the annual meeting luncheon and the release of the cumulative results of the 2024 Shelby County Business Outlook Survey—is $30 per person for Chamber investors and $40 per person for “Future” investors.
