ALABASTER – The McDonald’s at Colonial Drive in Alabaster is now fully open and back to service as usual after completing a series of new renovations.

Representatives from the city of Alabaster joined the Shelby County Chamber in a grand reopening celebration on Jan. 11 at the restaurant which is located at 205 South Colonial Drive. A ribbon cutting was held during the celebration and coupons and free items were also handed out.

“We had a nice afternoon mingling and connecting with towns people and leaders in our community of Alabaster,” said Carlie Dorsett, public relations Coordinator for Valluzzo Companies which is the owner and operator of the McDonald’s on Colonial Drive.

The company dedicated several months to fully renovate the interior of the establishment and to update its exterior amenities.

“We fully gutted the inside including new floors, new furniture and much more,” Dorsett said. “We are most excited for the new technology that we have put in to enhance the customer experience. We have four brand new state-of-the-art kiosks for digital customer ordering. This is crucial to providing a high level of service to our customers by providing new outlets to order from to get served even faster.”

The business also invested in new digital menu boards to further showcase the deals it has on offer and its delivery drivers now have a specific area for pickup—providing what Dorsett calls “a more organized and thorough service” that ensures the food stays hot and fresh.

During the renovations, the business continued to operate by providing drive thru service to its patrons.

“We are appreciative of the patience and dedication to those customers who continue to come out and support us during this time of limbo,” Dorsett said.

According to the city of Alabaster, the store has recently changed management and made significant upgrades to every facet of the business.

“If you haven’t been by lately, be sure to stop by and support this reinvestment in our community,” read an official Facebook post by the city of Alabaster.

Valluzzo Companies has served as the owner and operator of the McDonald’s at Colonial Drive for several years.

“We continue to focus on investing in our community and our customers and hope we’ve done so with this new renovation,” Dorsett said.
