Shelby County now accepting Small Business of the Year nominations

In partnership with five business organizations across Shelby County, The Shelby County Chamber is now accepting nominations for Small Business of the Year as a part of this year’s annual Small Business Celebration.

In addition to The Shelby Chamber, the five business organizations include Calera Main Street, Chelsea Business Alliance, Columbiana Main Street, The Montevallo Chamber of Commerce and Montevallo Main Street.

The 2024 Small Business of the Year program will recognize businesses in five different categories.

– Category One (1-5 Employees, open one year or more)

– Category Two (6-10 Employees, open one year or more)

– Category Three (11-20 Employees, open one year or more)

– Category Four (21 or more employees, open more than one year)

– Category Five (Open less than one year as of March 31, 2024, with less than 25 total employees).

Completed nomination packets in these five categories are due to The Shelby County Chamber by Monday, April 22 at 5 p.m.

All 2024 nominees, and the recipients in each category, will be recognized and announced at the Shelby County Small Business of the Year Awards luncheon scheduled for May 22, 2024, at the Pelham Civic Complex.
