HOOVER – Residents on U.S. Highway 280 can look forward to a new catering and dining option when a new Chick-fil-A opens on Valleydale Road later this year.

A new Chick-fil-A is set to open and will be located at Inverness Corners off of Valleydale Road near the intersection of U.S. Highway 280. The new Chick-fil-A marks the third restaurant in the chain to be placed along the Hwy 280 corridor following the success of the Inverness and Greystone locations.

“We think it’s an excellent location (and) we think the community is great,” said Jordy Henson with Genrev Properties. “If you’re coming from Spain Park High School or Jeff State or the Caldwell Mill area, you can get to Chick-fil-A without getting on Hwy 280.”

The new Valleydale location will offer a distinct twist on services as opposed to its two sister locations and will instead focus on accommodating online ordering and catering. The business will not feature a drive thru but will offer an indoor dining option.

Henson said he believes the new location will serve as a positive economic multiplier and will benefit existing businesses at Inverness Corners.

Signage is already out for the new Chick-fil-A which is tentatively set to open sometime between mid-April and early May.
