PELHAM – The 2024 Day of Pageants was held March 16, with Maggie Alvis taking home the crown of Junior Miss Panther, and Maggie Pittman and McKinley Pittman the titles of Little Miss Panther and Mini Miss Panther, respectively.

This year’s theme was “It’s a Barbie World,” and returning emcees for the event were Aspen Godette and Jada Winston.

A total of 53 participants from Pelham Oaks, Pelham Ridge and Pelham Park Middle, along with homeschool students, were involved in this year’s pageants. The Pelham Day of Pageants is the biggest fundraiser for the PHS varsity and junior varsity cheer program sponsored by the PHS Cheer booster club.

“It’s always a delight to see our Pelham girls shine during Pelham Day of Pageants,” said Martina Winston, director of the Pelham Day of Pageants. “The girls are always so supportive of each other, and they love getting the opportunity to dress up and have a little fun with friends. I love doing this pageant for the girls and I’ve seen so many of these girls mature over the years. I’m so proud of each and every one of the participants and can’t wait for next year.”

This year, the pageants kicked off with a twist, as the contestants introduced themselves with the help of newly crowned Miss PHS Anna Mann and Miss Jr. PHS Flynt Hudson.

• Mini People’s Choice – Lua Gonzalez

• 3rd Princess – Charlotte Gattina
• 4th Princess – Hollon Bush
• 5th Princess – Kayleigh Grace Tillman
• Little People’s Choice – Charlotte Gattina
• Junior Miss Panther – Maggie Alvis
• 6th Princess – Ally Bevelle
• 7th Princess – McKinsey Hayes
• 8th Princess – Brooke Peeler
• Junior People’s Choice – Kylie Pickford

Judges for the 2024 edition of the Pelham Day of Pageants were Kitty Rogers Brown, Javan Garner, Erin Smith and Jewel Washington. Each contestant was evaluated based on poise, elegance and confidence while on stage. The pageants also included Photogenic and People’s Choice categories.

“This pageant is a wonderful opportunity for participants to enjoy time with other contestants, learn different aspects of beauty, poise and experience a day to dress in elegance,” Winston said.
