ALABASTER – Alabaster residents had another chance to browse through a number of items sold by their neighbors during the return of the city’s annual spring City Wide Yard Sale.

Locals had an opportunity to look through more than 80 booths during the city of Alabaster’s spring City Wide Yard Sale which took place at Veterans Park on April 27 from 8 a.m. to noon.

According to Alabaster Community Programs Manager Morgan Lawley, this year’s iteration of the event was the first to take advantage of utilizing Alabaster’s Veterans Park after the annual event had outgrown its previous locations.

“Overall, this location was the perfect spot,” Lawley said. “With over 80 vendors, we have more than enough room for a successful event.”

During the yard sale, attendees could browse from number of vendors that featured various goods for sale, including clothes, tools, toys and more. There was also a selection of food truck present for locals to enjoy a quick snack.

“We want to give our residents an opportunity to do some spring cleaning while getting outside and enjoying the city’s parks while meeting their neighbors,” said Neal Wagner, public relations manager for the city of Alabaster.

In addition to allowing attendees the chance to search for unique thrift finds, the event also served as an opportunity for people to meet their neighbors.

“We always have a good turnout in both sellers and visitors, and it’s a great way to find some bargains while making some new friends,” Wagner said.
