NORTH SHELBY – On Saturday, June 1 at 8 a.m. the Mt Laurel Farmers’ Market will kick off its summer season. Each Saturday morning, residents gather in the town center for the market and craft fair.

Local farmers and other vendors will bring a variety of merchandise to sell to shoppers. While most of the vendors are returning participants, Market Manager Kelly Burley said there will be a number of new vendors.

“We have about 20 farmers, craftspeople and bakers that come out each week,” Burley said. “This will also be the 25th annual market.”

The market will also feature a number of different food trucks each week.

“Our vendors and farmers will bring a variety of goods,” Burley said. “Shoppers will be able to hang out with their neighbors while getting fresh produce.”

Vendors will be able to set up as early as 6:30 a.m. and will stay for the duration of the event.

The farmers’ market will take place each Saturday, from June 1 through Oct. 7 and will be open from 8 a.m. to noon at Manning Place. Those that are interested in more information may call 205-408-2717 or 205-408-8696.
