Christopher W. McNaught, age 76, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at his home in Pelham, Alabama. He was born March 7, 1948, in Beverly, Massachusetts. Chris grew up in Elmira, NY, and enjoyed his child and teen summers at the family cottage on Keuka Lake in the Finger Lakes of New York State. In later life he relocated to Gainesville, Georgia, and Pelham, Alabama.

Chris was predeceased by his parents, Lauren Thomas (Budd) and Jeanne Doris Packard McNaught. Chris is survived by his sister, Christine M. Wilbur (Brian), Ithaca, NY, his brother Sheldon T. McNaught (Linda), Lacey, WA; and by his daughter Jamie McNaught (Sherrie), Alabaster, AL; and son Andrew McNaught (Tracy), Missoula, MT; and his beloved grandchildren Kyler, Grayton, Ellie, Judah, and Irie Grace; and niece Jennifer M. Brill, Dryden, NY, and nephew Timothy M. Brill (Yulia), Wilmington, NC.

Chris worked for and retired from the New York State Electric and Gas Corporation. He was an avid sailor, bowler, and geocacher, who loved the out of doors. He loved playing the guitar (he just purchased a new one), nearly as much as he loved attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.

There will be no funeral or other services. Private interment services will be at the convenience of the family.
