Police chase ends with crash in Alabaster City Limits

ALABASTER – A woman is now in custody after the conclusion of a police chase that ended with a crash in the city limits of Alabaster.

According to Chief Deputy Clay Hammac with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency initiated a vehicle pursuit in the area of Interstate 20/Interstate 59 and the pursuit ended with a vehicle crash in the city limits of Alabaster.

ALEA took a female driver into custody and one male suspect fled on from the vehicle. The Alabaster Police Department deployed drones in the area and ALEA and the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office canvassed the area. The female driver in custody has not yet been identified.

More information on the incident will be released as it becomes available.
