Montevallo sophomore earns conference honor in men’s soccer

University of Montevallo sophomore goalkeeper Brendan Ledgeway of the Falcons’ men’s soccer team was named the Peach Belt Conference Goalkeeper of the Week following a pair of shutouts last week.

Ledgeway was unstoppable, playing 200 shutout minutes in a win and a scoreless tie.

Ledgeway began by making nine saves in a 0-0 tie with West Florida, then made two more saves in a 4-0 win over USC-Aiken. The shutouts were his conference-leading fourth and fifth of the year. The sophomore leads the league in minutes played and lowered his goals against average to 0.93, tied for third in the league.
