Terrorist attacks a reminder

As Americans woke up on July 7, they were greeted by all-too-familiar reports of a terrorist attack taking innocent lives.

Even though the four bombs that killed more than 50 people in London, England, were an ocean away from us, it was a reminder that we are still a country at war; a country that could see terrorism return to its shores at any moment.

While we cannot live our lives in constant fear of an attack, as Americans, we must not become complacent about the threat of terrorism.

Those who want to destroy our way of life are still out there, still planning, still working toward that horrible goal.

Let’s not forget that.

Let’s also not forget those who have died for the cause of defeating terrorism and pray for those who, even today, are guarding our walls of freedom
