The Coosa Valley Academy girls’ basketball team defeated Ellwood Christian 73-60 in high school basketball action Dec. 9.

Lauren Archer led the Rebels with 28 points in the victory. Archer also grabbed a team-high 15 rebounds to finish with a double-double.

Kaylan Rich added a double-double with 16 points and 11 boards. Terrie Sprayberry chipped in 10 points and six rebounds.

Amelia Ripley finished with nine points and 10 boards. Amber Bassett finished with four points and five rebounds. Holly Dunn contributed three points and two rebounds.

Alyssa Holmes added two points. Hannah Heath finished with one point.
