Carolyn Busby Bishop, age 90, of Elmore County, and formerly of Hoover, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 6, 2010. A Birmingham native, she was the widow of Col. Jack Powell Bishop.
Survivors include Carolyn’s children, Susan Stowe (Thomas P. Stowe Jr.) of Wetumpka and Larry Bishop (Wanda Bishop) of Highland, Utah; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one niece, Patsy Burke.
Carolyn was the epitome of a gracious Southern lady. She was a loving mother and grandmother and was an avid storyteller who will be missed immensely.
The graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 11, 2010, at Southern Heritage Cemetery in Pelham.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the American Heart Association.
Arrangements were made by Ridout’s Southern Heritage Funeral Home, Pelham.
