James William “Jim” Evans, 53, of Montevallo died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009.
For several years he was an employee of YMCA. He was a member of Spring Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church near Montevallo.
His father, William Thomas Evans Jr. preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Bowden Evans of Montevallo; mother, Esther Youngblood Evans of Vestavia Hills; son, James Brantley Evans; daughters, Alicen Frances Evans and Jessie Pearl Evans; brother, Thomas Michael Evans, all of Montevallo; and multiple aunts, cousins, co-workers, friends and other family members.
Memorial services were held at Spring Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, Feb. 24 at 10:30 a.m.
Memorials may be made to the Youth Dept. of Spring Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Arrangements were by Charter Funeral Home.
