Oak Mountain sweeps wrestling matches

The Oak Mountain High School wrestling team defeated Spain Park and Shelby County in high school wrestling action Jan. 23.

The Eagles defeated Shelby County 77-6. Thirteen Oak Mountain wrestlers won individual matches against Shelby County.

Trigg Langner of Oak Mountain pinned Aaron Stagner of Shelby County in the 113-pound match. Simon Loubser of Oak Mountain pinned A.J. Cole of Shelby County in the 120-pound match.

Bronson Lubresky of Oak Mountain earned a technical fall decision over Tyler Carter of Shelby County in the 126-pound match. Stephen Chandler of Oak Mountain pinned Killian Berens of Shelby County in the 132-pound match.

Angus McBee of Oak Mountain pinned Nick Horton of Shelby County in the 138-pound match. Will Franklin of Oak Mountain pinned Austin Poe of Shelby County in the 145-pound match.

Josh Gaines of Oak Mountain pinned Chris Upton of Shelby County in the 160-pound match. Sam Jasinski of Oak Mountain pinned Luke Muller of Shelby County in the 170-pound match.

Sam Hix of Oak Mountain pinned Clint Davis of Shelby County in the 195-pound match. Billy Dasher of Oak Mountain pinned Dylan Grantham of Shelby County in the heavyweight match.

Jacob Darty of Oak Mountain won his 152-pound match by forfeit. Jake Miller of Oak Mountain won his 182-pound match by forfeit.

Lloyd Time of Oak Mountain won his 220-pound match by forfeit.

Noah Dorough of Shelby County claimed the Wildcats’ lone victory after winning his 106-pound match by forfeit.

Spain Park defeated Shelby County 66-18. Eleven Jaguars won individual matches against Shelby County.

Elijah Krukowski of Spain Park pinned Noah Dorough of Shelby County in the 106-pound match. Tommy Bostany of Spain Park pinned A.J. Cole of Shelby County in the 120-pound match.

Andres Galindo of Spain Park pinned Tyler Carter of Shelby County in the 126-pound match. Connor Whatley of Spain Park pinned Killian Berens of Shelby County in the 132-pound match.

Leon Strong of Spain Park pinned Nick Horton of Shelby County in the 138-pound match. Marcus Jackson of Spain Park pinned Austin Poe of Shelby County in the 145-pound match.

Kevin McClure of Spain Park pinned Chris Upton of Shelby County in the 160-pound match. Kameron Ricks of Spain Park pinned Clint Davis of Shelby County in the 195-pound match.

Dillon Osborne of Spain Park won his 152-pound match by forfeit. Alex Potts of Spain Park won his 182-pound match by forfeit. Mo Mills of Spain Park won his 220-pound match by forfeit.

Three Shelby County wrestlers won individual matches against Spain Park.

Aaron Stagner of Shelby County pinned Jackson Cotney of Spain Park in the 113-pound match. Luke Miller of Shelby County pinned Damon Hall of Spain Park in the 170-pound match.

Dylan Grantham of Shelby County pinned Zachary Williams of Spain Park in the heavyweight match.

Oak Mountain defeated Spain Park in the final match.

Seven Eagles finished undefeated in individual matches.
