After a two-month summer break, Dr. Digalot and Canteen the Camel are ready to welcome kindergarten through sixth grade boys and girls back to W3 on Wednesday nights. From 6:30-8 p.m., the Kids Crossings building at The Church at Shelby Crossings is full of children learning the word, offering worship and playing wacky games. W3 began its third year on Aug. 18. Dr. Digalot (Skip Coulter) and his helpers, Carole Coulter and Becky Coulter, have been coaching children in a Bible Bowl format for several years. Bethany Letson teaches praise music and Stacy Shaner and his helpers coordinate the games. “The kids have so much fun, that they sometimes forget they’re learning Scripture,” said Shellyn Poole, Shelby Crossings’ children’s minister.
