Lions top Dadeville in tournament

The Briarwood Christian School baseball team defeated Dadeville 9-4 in the Lake Martin Classic tournament March 21.

Tanner Cunningham led the Lions (14-4) offensively as he went 2-for-4 at the plate. Cunningham drove in one run and scored two runs in the victory.

Ben Craft, who drove in one run and scored one run, finished 2-for-4 with a triple. Daniel Robert went 1-for-2 at the plate and drove in a pair of runs. Carter Tyra, who drove in one run and scored two runs, finished 1-for-4 at the plate.

Cole Pearson finished 1-for-3 at the plate and scored two runs. Tanner Gann finished 1-for-4 and drove in one run.

Barnes Bankston earned the win on the mound after giving up three runs, including one earned run, on three hits with seven strikeouts and seven walks in 6 1/3 innings on the mound.

Jake Bracewell earned the save after giving up one unearned run with a strikeout and two walks in 2/3 of an inning in relief.
