The Greater Shelby County Education Foundation’s 2013 Coupon Book Campaign raised more than $165,000 for Shelby County Schools this year.

Kendall Williams, community relations director at the foundation, recognized the top 12 students who sold the most coupon books during the campaign. The GSCEF is a non-profit organization that serves as an advocate for public schools, as well as financial support. The coupon books were created by Enjoy the City.

Chelsea High student Keely Pownall won the contest by selling 110 coupon books. Pownall won $1,000 from Enjoy the City, $1,000 from Regions Bank, an iPad 2, a Regions bicycle and a Coca-Cola prize pack that included tickets to Six Flags, the Birmingham Zoo, McWane Center and more.

Other winners were:

• Taylor Paugh, an Oak Mountain Intermediate student, won second place by selling 106 books. She received $500 from Enjoy the City, $100 from Regions and an iPad 2.

• Oak Mountain Middle student Russell Autry won third place by selling 100 books. He won $250 from Enjoy the City, $100 from Regions and an iPad2.

• Riverchase Middle student Jaylen Cook won fourth place with 60 books sold. He won $100 from Enjoy the City, $100 from Regions and a Kindle Fire.

• Inverness Elementary student Kennedy Hastie won fifth place and sold 53 books. He received $75 from Enjoy the City, $100 from Regions and a Kindle Fire.

• Riverchase Elementary student Kobe Cunningham won sixth place with 52 books sold. He won $50 from Enjoy the City, $50 from Regions and a Kindle Fire.

• Helena Middle student Cameron Jones and Helena Intermediate student Cylie Jones tied for seventh place with 50 books sold. They each won $25 from Enjoy the City, $50 from Regions and a Kindle Fire.

• Meadowview Elementary student Kayla Haney and Calera Elementary student Abigail Snyder tied for eighth place with 29 books sold. They each received $25 from Enjoy the City and $50 from Regions.

• Riverchase Middle student Kayla Lazrak won ninth place with 26 books sold. She received $25 from Enjoy the City and $50 from Regions.

• Helena Elementary Brayden Stacey won 10th place with 25 books sold. He received $25 from Enjoy the City and $50 from Regions.
