Eileen Gibbs Sizemore, age 90, of Calera, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 8, 2013. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m.-noon on Sept. 11 at Bolton Funeral Home, Columbiana. Funeral service will be at noon with Dr. Harper Shannon and Dr. Mike Shaw officiating. Burial will follow in Shelby Memory Gardens with her son, Rev. Joe L. Sizemore officiating.

Mrs. Sizemore loved animals, flowers and church missions and was a retired LPN. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Calera.

Mrs. Sizemore is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Hurshel Leon Sizemore.

She is survived by her daughter, Jean Godfrey (Bobby); son, Rev. Joe L. Sizemore (Edna); brother, Powell Gibbs (Marilyn); grandchildren, Robin Acre (Steve), Beth Winterbottom (Ricky), Chris Godfrey, Russell Sizemore (Leigh), Renee Hanson (Buddy), Ragan Ferruccio (Jeremy); 16 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Vedeara Sizemore; and several nieces, nephews and other family and friends. The family wishes to express and extend our gratitude to Treasure Slaughter, dear friend and caregiver.
