CALERA – Anyone driving on Shelby County 22 near the Sysco plant in Calera should plan on taking an alternate route Dec. 5-6 because of road closings, said Calera Police Chief Sean Lemley on Dec. 4.

The railroad crossing on Shelby County 22 near Sysco will be closed for repairs beginning around 6 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, and will not reopen until the project is completed on Friday, Dec. 6.

While the railroad tracks and railroad crossing are being repaired, Lemley said everyone should plan on taking an alternate route, including school buses, parents and other traffic.
