Laval Sandlin Lowe, age 84, of Maylene, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Lloyd Cecil Lowe; parents, Forrest M. and Ethel Burleson Sandlin; and her son, Jerry Lowe.

Her survivors include her sons, David Lowe (Carol) of Hoover and Paul Lowe of Maylene; granddaughters, Amy Seale (Tim) of Pelham, Kimi Pearson (Craig) of Alabaster and Jessica Lowe of Cullman; grandson, Jack Lowe of Cullman; step-son, Mike Lowe (Sandy) of Indianapolis, Ten.; sisters, Wanda Hollingsworth of Winfield and Lounell Moran of Chicago, Ill.; and a host of other family members.

The family will receive friends at the Community Baptist Church in Maylene on Feb. 13, at 10 a.m. with a Memorial Service to follow at 11 a.m., with Brother Bo Brown officiating. She will be buried in Alabama National Cemetery.
