Betty Hartsfield Carter, age 82, a resident of Columbiana, died on Sunday, May 22, 2011. Funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Pinelawn Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at Liberty Baptist Church. Bolton Funeral Home of Columbiana is directing.

Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Carter; stepdaughter, Brenda Boothe; brothers, James and Jack Hartsfield; and sister, Wylodene Davis. Mrs. Carter is survived by her children, Phillip Wayne Carter (Tammy) and Timothy J. Carter (Angie); grandchildren, Patricia Cochran (Daniel) and Shannon, Audrey, Kaci and Luke Carter; sister, Kathryn Hartsfield; brother, Phillip Hartsfield; and numerous other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
