MONTEVALLO—The Montevallo Main Street Players will stage Robert Harling’s Steel Magnolias on Aug. 7-9 as well as Aug. 14-15 at 7:30 p.m., with Sunday matinees beginning at 2 p.m.in the Parnell Memorial Library Theater in Montevallo.

The cast consists of Sharon Morgan of Helena, Danielle Warren and Marc’a Scott of Montevallo, Ingrid Atkinson-McGraw of Jemison, Cassidy Le and Dianna Murphree of Pelham.  Gwendoline Treptow of Montevallo is the director of the play.

The play takes place in Louisiana and shares the lives and friendships of six small town women.  These six friends experience laughter and tears together and show the importance of true friendship.

Tickets are $12 for general admission and $8 for seniors, students and active military. To reserve tickets call 665-9207, ext. 6.
