Jimmy Don Harris passed away peacefully in Alabaster, on Thursday, April 14, at the age of 72.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Betty Harris; and his parents, James and “Pete” Harris.

He is survived by five children, Scott Burrough of St. Louis, Mo., Patty (James) Midgette of Pelham, Kit (Leslie) Bozeman of Alabaster, Becky (Robbie) Elmore of Maylene, and Kim (Dale) Payne of Maylene. Jimmy was blessed with 16 grandchildren, and 13 great- grandchildren.

Visitation was held Saturday, April 16 from 6-8 p.m. at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo). His funeral services were held Sunday, April 17 at 2 p.m. The graveside service followed at Macedonia Cemetery in Montevallo. Officiating his service was Reverend Ricky Smith.

Jimmy was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. After grieving for his wife over the past year, he finally is at peace and has her back in his arms again, for which his family is grateful.
