HELENA–A Helena home in the Riverwoods neighborhood community will be featured in the 2016 Fall Community & Home Tour, presented by the Greater Birmingham Association of Home Builders.

The Riverwoods home will be one of about 50 homes spanning more than a dozen communities featured in the tour Oct. 7-9 and Oct. 14-16.

The Fall Community & Home Tour is a free open house open to the public that highlights the builders in the construction community and various homes.

Sales of newly built, single-family homes rose 12.4 percent in July from a downwardly revised June reading to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 654,000 units, according to newly released data by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the U.S. Census Bureau. This is the highest reading in almost nine years.

“This is great news ahead of one our most popular events, The Fall Community & Home Tour,” said Greater Birmingham Association of Home Builders President Kyle Murphy. “The Tour not only highlights some of the best new construction homes in Birmingham, but also showcases the great amenities in these communities- like parks, nature trails, lakes and clubhouses.”

The Helena home is still under construction but will be ready for the Fall Home Tour when October arrives.

The home is located at 512 Riverwoods Landing in Helena and is being built by Prominence Homes & Communities.

Once complete, the home will feature five bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms and 3,099 square feet of space. The current listed price from Prominence is $479,900.
