CHELSEA – A wreck about 4:30 p.m. Friday, June 30, caused the closure of eastbound lanes of U.S. 280 and significant delays.

The wreck occurred near the intersection of U.S. 280 and Boardman Drive, which is between Bear Creek Road and Shelby County 47 in Chelsea.

There were no injuries in the wreck, but there was debris blocking the roadway, according to the Chelsea Fire Department.

Both eastbound lanes of U.S. 280 were closed for a time, and as of 6 p.m., there were still significant delays.
