ALABASTER – Registration has officially opened for spring soccer at the Alabaster branch of the Birmingham United Soccer Association (BUSA), giving young athletes the opportunity to join a fun and competitive local soccer league.

For the spring season, BUSA Alabaster will offer signups for ages U9-U13, while during the fall season, they offer up to 19-under teams if you’re looking for a team come fall of 2020.

There will be a quick turnaround as spring practice begins for teams on Monday, Jan. 27, and the season will last through the first week of May, giving teams several games throughout the season.

Games will be played at Larry Simmons Stadium and at Thompson High School throughout the 2020 season.

The Birmingham United Soccer Association was formed in 2006 when two different soccer clubs merged together. Now, more than 10 years later, it’s turned into the premier soccer league across the Birmingham-metro area with more than 3,500 players per season and 7,500 players annually.

BUSA’s main goal is to serve all who want to play soccer within their local community and to teach more than just the game, but also help young athletes learn how to succeed through hard work, determination and accountability.

In addition to playing in the spring and fall, BUSA also offers camps throughout the year and many other competitions.

For all of the returnees that played during the fall, there will be a $50 club fee for the 2020 spring season. You can register to be a part of the upcoming season at Birminghamsoccer.bonzidev.com/Alabaster or if you have questions, you can email admin@birminghamunited.com.
